The pendant features a detailed relief of Padmasambhava, the second Buddha. Padmasambhava is known as the “Lotus-Born” and is the founder of Tibetan Buddhism. He is said to have taken the form of a lotus flower to escape the fierce light of the sun and when he reached earth, he was born as a child.
